I CAME HERE TO BE HAPPY

Hello my friend,

How are you? I can’t believe another week has passed by so quickly again. Time seems to be moving fast, at least in my world it does. This past week I have been quite busy making big decisions and plans for my future. Life really is meant to be enjoyed … feeling happy and having fun … and I have learnt that when I don’t feel these things, it’s time to change something. We are all in control of our own happiness, and only when you feel the happiness within yourself are you able to share it with others. Feeling good is very important … and that’s what I want to write about today.

But first ………
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts about my last newsletter, I appreciate your kindness. And also, thank you so much for the lovely messages about both of my podcasts … that really means a lot. Grandma Has A Story podcast is growing faster than I imagined, and I am amazed how many adults are also enjoying my stories. I must admit, I like reading children’s stories, so I shouldn’t really be surprised!

So what can we do to feel good everyday?
If we allow lifes ups and downs, to rule our life, there are bound to be more days when we don’t feel good. The reason for this is generally people will focus on a problem … talk about it to their friends, think about it all day long, take it to bed with them at night … and will, as a consequence, feel bad. The longer you think about something negative, the harder it is to bring yourself back to feeling good. The trick is not to allow yourself to stay focused on the problem for too long. Instead, realise there is a problem, and then look straight away for a solution.

Life really is only as stressful as you make it, because the problem doesn’t cause you stress … it’s the way you think about the problem which causes you stress.

But why do some people always seem so happy with life?

The people who appear to have perfect lives, with everything others only seem to dream about, are no different from anyone else … except … they focus on being happy, they look for solutions to difficulties, they prioritise time to really enjoy life, and, probably most important of all, they focus on the present while allowing the future to take care of itself.

For a more in-depth look at this subject, go to your favourite podcast platform and listen to my latest Tranquil Spirits podcast, released today, called ‘Five Ways To Feel Good’.

Enjoy a great week.

With gratitude and hugs,

Jacqueline
